This is a follow-up to a previous thread, the same issue is happening again.
Last week my app became completely unusable (native app + BubbleGo), while the editor preview worked fine. Bubble support suggested enabling the “Serve this domain over HTTPS (TLS encryption)” toggle under domain settings, and that fixed it temporarily.
Now it’s broken again, and this is the second time Google Play has rejected/flagged my app submission because the app doesn’t work for reviewers.
BubbleGo is working completely normally. The issue is isolated to the native apps only, both iOS and Android. This rules out a general server-wide outage and points to something specific in how the native builds connect/authenticate.
Symptoms on native app (iOS and Android):
- The app frequently gets stuck showing an “Hors ligne.” (Offline) banner and never finishes loading past the splash screen, despite a stable network connection.
- When it does manage to reach the login page, attempting to log in returns: “Sorry, we ran into a temporary bug and can’t complete your request. We’ll fix it as soon as we can; please try again in a bit!”
- BubbleGo, on the other hand, loads and logs in normally with no issues.
What’s different this time it’s not just new builds or OTA updates that are affected. My existing, already-live build on the Apple App Store, one that was working fine before and hasn’t been touched or resubmitted is also broken with the same symptoms. This tells me the problem is not in the build itself, but on the server/domain side, since a completely untouched, previously-working build is now failing too.
What I’ve tried:
- Re-checked the TLS/HTTPS toggle, it’s still enabled, but the issue came back anyway.
- Generated a new native build for testing, also affected.
- Confirmed the previously-published, unmodified App Store build is affected too.
- Confirmed BubbleGo works fine, ruling out a general app/data/workflow issue.
- Opened another support ticket with Bubble.
This is now the second time this has caused a Google Play rejection, so any help accelerating a fix would be greatly appreciated.
