Date format - Text

When I create an entry I am creating the date in dd/mm/yyyy format as text. When I am pulling it down it is coming as mm/dd/yyyy even if I format it as dd/mm/yyyy. If I dont format it it is like January 01, 2024 or something like that. Its text why am I getting date formatting at all?

  1. Why don’t you just save it as a date field, then format it after?
  1. What do you mean by “pulling it down?”
