hello everyone, I am trying to build an app as Airbnb just to get use with bubble etc.
I was paying a plan on zerocode . The challenge I am facing is that some features that he show in the video, I don’t find them in my version of bubble.So ether bubble has a lot of bugs, either I need a professional plan paid in order to use bubble in his full and big potential.What’s your opinion?
I can see that people are building beautiful things but for me at the moment are all kinds of bugs that block me to continue building something in Bubble.
I would ask @levon on his forum if you want specific help with one of their templates. They would know best how to answer that. I don’t know all of the behind the scenes with their template. They should know though.
Thank you for your answer. I will ask him as well. My question is also simple: Is Bubble working the same or has the same features when you use it for free or is a marketing strategy behind and you need to pay for it in order to use it at full capacity? are you part of bubble team?
I think Bubble has changed since the video was made. I went through the same problem. But you still can proceed by figuring out what has changed. I can’t remember exactly what the changes are as of now.
If there is anything specific, I think @levon can help.
With regards to your question, all the things in the video can be executed even in the free plan.
I know about those features, but I am speaking more about certain errors. Like you build log in/sign up buttons and they don’t appear in your build mode but there are when I press login. Or I cannot restore login buttons (which are hidden) once deleted.
Do you know something about this.
I tried to ask someone who has more experience in bubble about these and I recorded myself:
First issue, You need to look at the conditionals for the groups “Group Logged Out” and “Group Logged In”. They are not initial visible but still show up because of a conditional setting.
Also if you create a new bubble app and you can see how they set up the log in popup. You can try to get a better idea how they set it up initially so you can do the same thing in your app. It is in a separate reusable element, not in the header.
This could get you started so you can do something similar on your own. Hope this helps. I would suggest going through all the tutorials if you haven’t already.

In general, it sounds like the tutorial you’re trying to follow is a few years outdated, just based on what you’re asking about. I highly recommend jumping into the Bubble lessons that @J805 mentioned, or grabbing 30 minutes with someone to walk you through on a screenshare. A number of folks on the forum provide that type of service. My thoughts on your last 3 videos below:
Rentweb Error 2: The “stripe” feature hasn’t existed for a couple years now. It was there before the team added the ability to build responsive pages.
Rentweb Error 3: It looks like there may be some issues in the workflow logic, and the issue checker says you have 1 problem that needs to be fixed. I’d check the workflow to make sure the price is actually being saved as part of the action.
Rentweb Error 4: Looks like you either need to click the “upload another image” button, or select the dynamic list option. I’m guessing if you select the dynamic list option, you can choose something like, “Current Cell’s Listing’s Photos” as the data source.
Just to answer your original question. Upgrading your bubble account will not help you with the problems you are having. Just wanted to clarify that with you I’m case you are still wondering. Hope that helps.

yes, Airbnb tutorial was the first one Brent created for CodeFree Startup and I believe it’s the very first Bubble video course. We are planning to update videos to remove the parts that do not exist in Bubble anymore and add new things, meanwhile though, we’ll be assisting our students in such cases through this forum or Zeroqode forum.

just wanted to let you know that we have updated the course by adding one more video in the curriculum that covers the new responsive engine. It’s in lesson #8
in regards to your question about the room ID page, that should be covered in the course. despite the fact that stripes were used instead of the responsive engine, the functionality works still in the same way. So i’d suggest you to revisit the lessons that cover building the room ID page, sending data to that page and displaying it to the user.
