From Idea to Profitable Business: An Airdev Workshop with Sahil Lavingia, Founder and CEO of Gumroad

Hi, everyone!

I am excited to announce that Airdev is hosting a free, live workshop with Sahil Lavingia on December 6th at 12:00pm PST, specifically designed for the Bubble community and no-code creators. Sahil is the founder and CEO of Gumroad, a service that empowers creators to sell their work directly to their audiences. Sahil started Gumroad in 2011 as a weekend project, and has since scaled it to help creators around the world earn over 142M in GMV in 2020. Before Gumroad, Sahil was the second employee at Pinterest where he designed and shipped Pinterest for iPhone.

In this workshop, Sahil will teach Matt Neary (Head of Learning & Development at Airdev) how to go from idea > prototype > profitable business. This will be a highly practical workshop, using the concepts in Sahil’s new book, The Minimalist Entrepreneur, including:

  • Prototyping
  • Narrowing down who your customer is
  • Finding and serving your first 100 customers
  • Marketing your product to the world
  • Growing a profitable business around your product

This workshop is free and open to the public. It is specifically geared towards those of us who love building with no-code, but might need a little help creating businesses around the apps they build. Please don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any questions! We look forward to seeing you there!

Amazing, registered!

One question @fayewatson. After registering I saw the below attached plugin “add to your story”. Is it a plugin I can find here on Bubble too?

Thank you

Awesome! Thanks so much for registering, @fellowdroner! And, that’s a great question! We are actually using a platform called Lu.ma to manage/host this registration page, but I just went through the “Add to Your Story” flow, and it looks like Luna generates a QR code that you can then screenshot and share to social media:

It would be possible to build this experience using Bubble with a QR code plugin; I think that Google also has a free QR code generator as well!
