I could really use the “Run-mode page-load optimization” Experimental feature but my app was not built using the responsive editor. I’m wondering what switching over would require and how much effort would it take?
anywhere from 30 min for simple pages to 10 hours for very complex pages.
converting 20 pages took roughly 30 hours for me
That a lot but doable. I have a one page mobile app that has about 15 Screens/Groups, 15 floating groups and a few pop ups. I’m guessing that be equivalent to 15-30 pages? I don’t know much about the responsive editor… What recommendation do you have for switching over?
install this template and learn new responsive engine
for your existing app use the convert function (go to responsive view). causes many problems but still saves time vs rebuilding from scractch
So I just switch from UI Builder to Responsive (in the video) then from there do I manually go through the app and see what needs to be changed? I didn’t have any errors come up when I switched. I took a look and everything looks good in the the editor and preview mode. Does this mean I don’t need to change anything?
There’s a very good chance you’ll still need to tweak your layout for smaller screen resolutions. On the editor, in the ‘Responsive’ tab, there’s 4 different resolutions you can preview your editor with; that should give you a better starting point for seeing what might need to be changed.
