Instant calculator odd results

Hi All,

I’m trying to use the instant calculator plugin to take users input (cars’ MPG values) to calculate their yearly fuel cost, see first image for the design screen.

This seems to be working fine for multiplication or addition. However, when I use division (“/”) I get some really odd results (unexpectedly high, and wrong, values returned). See second image…

Any ideas?

12 / 4.54609 = 2.6396309795890534

So it looks like the answer is correct, you just can’t see the first 3 digits as the text box is too small.

As it’s a currency, you only need 2 decimal places, so use the ‘Formatted As’ expression to format to 2 decimal places.
