ℹ Internal bubble ADs?

I will write an example specifically for plugins, as I clearly see where how and why this can be implemented. Of course this can be done for templates or other things in other places.

As the community grows, there are a lot of new people and new plugins.
First of all most of the people don’t know that there are tons of plugins that can improve their apps, or if they know, they can’t find the one that they need because of different names that sometimes doesn’t represent the real functionality or simply is difficult to find when searching by key words.
We can let them discover different plugins from the ads.

A space for ads can be added in the searching box for plugins ( like ads in google search results ) and show them only in the apps that are on free plan

  • ADs between the results can be related to the search key words

Also in the plugin list

When there are no advertisers, show a random plugin made by by bubble.

For advertisers is needed a simple dashboard with the stats like views, clicks, costs etc.

Along the ads there also can be categories like Plugin/Template of the week, best seller of the month or best free plugin of the month and other things like that ( like in the appstore )

I know no one likes ads but there will a lot of new people that will sit on free plan for a long time and I think ads can help bubble and the plugin/templates developers to grow further.

What do you think of it ?

I think that it would be nice if the plugin menu would look and work a bit more like the Appstore. For example that once a week a single plugin or multiple plugins that work great together would be featured by the Bubble team. This would be a great way for Bubblers to discover plugins. I think for now that the priority should be to the make the plugin menu faster though because it is often quite slow.
