iOS App Stuck on Splash Screen – Has Anyone Solved This Rendering Issue?

Hi all,

I’m running into a rendering issue with my Bubble Mobile app during iOS App Store review. Apple has rejected the submission because the app launches to the splash screen but doesn’t load any further — nothing renders beyond that point.

I’ve tested it on my own devices and everything seems to work fine, so I’m unsure what’s causing it during Apple’s review. In an earlier attempt, the app didn’t pass the “Update App” screen either, so it seems like there may be a recurring issue affecting initial rendering or loading.

I’ve reached out to Bubble support yesterday and I’m in the queue, but in the meantime I’m hoping someone in the community might have seen this before or found a workaround.

Any advice or shared experiences would be really appreciated!

Thanks so much

Hello, For me, it takes 16 seconds to see the first image when I start my iOS app (downloaded from TestFlight). I have an iPhone 6s.

@nick.carroll im also experiencing a similar issue - my app never gets past the home screen the first time opening, i have to close and reopen multiple times for it to work.

AHHH I have just release my app to the app store and im getting this aswell.

Everything was working smoothely in test mode, I had my app approved by apple, then made a few changes over the air, and then published the app. After installing the app, I can’t get past the splash screen, as I am just greeted with the update page. My app is fully up to date aswell.

@patrick.white have you deprecated all the older versions?

Nah that worked thanks @miracle
I thought it was supposed to update for the user though when a new ota was made? Even after restarting app it stays on that older version.

If you force quit the app after an OTA and re-open, it should load the newest code
