I am still fairly new to Bubble but have been trying to look up and read as much as possible in recent weeks to discover the pros and cons.
For now, Bubble seems to have what I need. The only downside is that it is often said that the website is very slow to respond. 2 questions about that:
What is your opinion on this?
Is it possible to run the bubble website on your own (maybe faster) server or can this only be done via Bubble itself?
The speed depends on the complexity of your app and how well you optimize it. If you’re going to have thousands of concurrent users and lots of workflows, may not be best. But I haven’t had any issues once I learned how to optimize the apps.
No, you can’t run a Bubble app somewhere else. Bubble is an integrated full-stack solution.
You can contract a dedicated server plan with Bubble. They will still control it but you will not share processing power with other apps. The server will be all for your own app.
Dedicated server is a must for applications that gain significant traction! I’ve been loving it.
