I only need more speed as we have around 7 users on the app handling a factory operation on bubble.
I don’t need more functionality, will the speed of loading pages, making queries, handling databases be any faster if I upgrade?

I’d recommend adding extra units of capacity to your app first if you’re looking for some performance boost. It’s not a direct speed booster, but more app capacity can help speed because it’ll give workflows and other processes more “breathing room.” You can even test extra capacity before committing in Settings > App Plan.
EDIT: While you can boost capacity temporarily under the Personal Plan, you’ll still need to be on Professional at least anyway to purchase extra units. So, to answer the original question, upgrading would be worth it to access the capacity increase option.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think someone can add capacity on the personal plan. I thought we were able to at first as well, but I think you can only add capacity on the professional level and above.

You’re totally right! You can only boost on the Personal plan, but to purchase extra units, you need to be on Professional at least. Thanks for the correction! I’ve edited my previous post.
