Linking Newly Created Requests to a Project in Workflow

Each “Project” is made up of several “Request”

Here is my pop up window.

The user can see their “Projects”. “Request type” is an option set and is working. I can see the correct list of “Brands”.
When the user clicks “Next”, a workflow will create the “Request”:

In the newly created “Request” I can see the brand, the “Request type”, the uploaded files BUT the “Project” remains empty.
Below is how I populate the data in the “Project selection dropdown”:

Since each “Project” is made up of several “Request”, if the “Request” is not attached to a “Project”, I can’t move forward.
I have been looking for a solution for the whole day yesterday and I feel stuck in a small puddle.

I already Googled, Chat GPT’d and crawled through the forum and cannot find an answer.

Ok, I think I get where the issue is, you’re trying update the “Project” data table as soon as a new “Request” is created right?
if that’s the case you just need to make changes to the project and update it…
