[My First App] No Experience + 7 Months = Free Motorcycle Classified App

Hello everyone!

Firstly, thank you all for posting in the forum and replying to peoples’ posts. The forum has a wealth of information in it and helps us ALL!

This is my first app. I thought I would show you all out of a thank you for those who answered all of my newb questions and also hopefully it motivates/inspires us all to keep working at our goals.
I really wish Bubble would keep doing the app of the day and the monthly app competitions. This would really help people to push ourselves to build quality products.

This app came about to solve a problem the motorcycle scene has. The problem is that there is not one central place where we all can sell, buy, advertise, etc motorcycles, parts, want ads and anything else you may want. We must go to one site for parts, another site to sell our bikes, another site for this and that.

This was just not my personal frustration but the shared frustration of the many people I am close to in the motorcycle world. One of the main aspects that I wanted to focus on was making it free for all users and to be able to make posts very quickly.

Some problems that I and others share that I aimed to solve:
-Ebay seller fees and the time that it takes to make and manage an Ebay listing makes it so you don’t even want to use that platform

  • Facebook marketplace buries your ad if you do not pay to boost it
  • Facebook marketplace messenger is VERY annoying (is this still available?)
  • Most classifieds only show your items in your local area, not country wide.
  • You can not create want ads anywhere.
  • You must pay to advertise anywhere.
  • People hate creating new accounts and remembering new passwords.
  • Many platforms lack video function and if they have it, it is very clunky. (shout out to @api.video. This is the only CDN on Bubble that actually works!)

I love feedback so please do not hold back!
Thank you all again.

Great job! Here’s some feedback as you’ve asked:

  1. Having an image as a button isn’t really a good idea - I’m only on a 13" laptop and it already looks pixelated!

  2. The header and footer take up a lot of the page - I’d like to be able to see more of the actual listings.

  3. The supporter sharing popup doesn’t seem to work if someone copies the share link but doesn’t enter their personal details (so it’s finding a Share type but there’s no name / social media in it)

  4. You haven’t configured privacy rules on the Messages which exposes the phone number / name of anyone that’s sent a message.

Hope this helps  If you want me to do a more in depth look you can get a free audit @ Not Quite Unicorns
