I don’t think they’ll ever do that. Thanks! I just got a reply from Faith (that’s her name lol), saying that a support engineer will talk to me soon. Fingers crossed. I’ll keep you posted.
Yes, it can be done. I will include it in the next update.
That’s awesome! Incredible work @mvandrei.
I just bought this plug in and it works fine on browsers, however it does not fetch the player id on neither ios or android. I have already read the other posts and yes, I do have a native app with a built in web view and yes, I have configured the applications properly following the tutorials on one signal and when pushing through the one signal platform the notifications work on both devices.
The issue is that on either mobile devices the plug in does not fetch the player id at all, even after clciking “yes” on the pop ups that show up. My guess is that when I hit yes, the webview tries to open a new tab (the os-tc), but it can`t do that. Is there any way to fix this issue and finally get it working?
Hi,
Thanks for your purchase. I am glad it works on your browser and as for the mobile apps, I’m sorry you’re facing this issue.
I have no idea what native wrapper you are using, and you need a JS bridge to communicate one layer up to request the PID, and one layer down to communicate it to bubble’s db. There is also the way that the OnewSignal SDK is implemented inside that app, where I have NO idea of how it was implemented.
If you want a turn-key solution, I can provide it via https://bubble-to-mobile.bubbleapps.io/
Regards,
Andrei
Hey,
Great question!
It looks like OneSignal decided to make the setup easier. You can find the Safari setup as the last step, once you’re in for editing the “All Browsers”.
They are providing a shared SSL certificate, but you are free to upload your own if you want that.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
Thanks for the quick feedback Andrei. Highly appreciated !
In the Bubble plugin Onesignal setting, do you know what I should put in the Safari Web ID headers section ? Should I leave it blank or put the Onesignal App ID ?
Thank you,
Laura
After even more research and trial and error, unfortunately, I still could not find a way to send individual notifications for specific users on mobile apps. The connection with one signal is not the issue, since the segmented push works, however, the plug-in fails to retrieve the user id when the site is running from an android/ios app.
So my question is, if anyone managed to get this notification system fully working on an ios or android app, please post a step-by-step tutorial or some explanation on how to get it working. I am sure that a lot of people would be very thankful for this!
Are you comfortable with sharing your OneSignal credentials If so, send them in DM please
there are tutorials.
Can you share your editor in DM?
Hi @mvandrei,
Is the option to register the user to send individual messages to specific people working?
Hi,
Yes, of course!
If you have any issues, please DM with access to your app with location of your WF.
Hi, I subscribed to the plugin and it worked perfectly!
I just want to know, is it possible to configure my app’s Icon in the notification?
Glad it worked out for you!
You can, that part you’ll have to configure from onesignal.com
Niceee! It would be awesome to do this straight from Bubble.io
Starting today, this plugin is only 2USD/mo.
Enjoy it!
@mvandrei
Hi I’m impressed your kind customer support above.
And, actually I’m very sorry for saying this, but I also have “getting Player ID” issue with my native app.
As I can send push notification to my device(Pixel5) when adding Player ID MANUALLY to the Bubble database, the config of the wrapper (SuperView) looks fine. The problem is just only “not collecting Player ID”.
- I’m trying to send push notification to single PID
- I put OneSignal Pro element to index page and this is Single page app so it’s always visible
I think you are totally bored with this issue, but I will be very happy if you share your tips to solve my problem…!!
