We’re excited to share some amazing news! Apple has officially approved our client’s Bubble Native Mobile App, and it’s now live on the App Store. Check it out here.
This app showcases the power and flexibility of Bubble’s platform and highlights the potential of the new Mobile Native Editor. Here’s what makes it stand out:
• Seamless IoT Integration: The app collects data from an IoT device via AWS IoT Core and securely stores it in Bubble.
• Dynamic Data Display: Users can interact with the data through section lists, vertical lists, and beautifully designed interactive charts.
• Real-Time Push Notifications: The app keeps users informed with timely notifications based on specific triggers.
We’re incredibly proud of this milestone, which would not have been possible without the incredible support and dedication of Bubble’s Mobile Team. Your efforts in refining the Mobile Native Editor made this a reality—huge shoutout to you all!
Feel free to drop your questions about the app or the development process. We’d love to share more insights about building native apps with Bubble!
Interesting project showcasing the connection with IoT! This is a great example for a mobile beta. I have a few newbie questions about the development process, as I’m about to start working on my very first mobile app (I’ve been making my own Bubble apps for ~3 years).
How does the development time compare with traditional React development? Bubble web apps are a huge cost-saver, and I believe mobile development with Bubble could be even more so.
What user registration process are you using? Is it OAuth, Bubble, or something else?
How did you convince the client to go with this no-code mobile app approach? Since future pricing isn’t entirely clear, how did you handle operational costs versus client expectations?
How was the submission process to the Apple Store? Did you create a developer account for Apple/Android yourself and then submit the app? How long did the approval process take?
Did you start with a Figma prototype? What was the most challenging part of the development process? Do you have any tips or recommendations (technical/client)?
I’m currently bidding on my first app for a potential first client, so I’d appreciate detailed insights. Thank you!
