Pausing stops other workflows being triggered

Dear Bubblers,

I am trying to cycle through some heading titles on my main page and have them animate in.
I am currently doing this through a workflow:
Page is loaded->set state of x -> pause 3 sec -> animate/set state of x -> pause 3 sec -> animate/set state

However, this stops other workflows from being triggered until this has been completed.

Is there a better way to approach this problem?

For info the other workflow is a scroll to item workflow when a button is clicked.

A way around would be to terminate the first workflow when the button is clicked, is there a way to do that?
