Profile image uploads but does not persist after save

I have User field profile_photo set to type image

, PictureInput inside a popup,

Workflow:Make changes to Current user to profile photo = PictureInputs value,

Display image pulling from Current Users profile photo

Upload previews correctly but image disappears after refresh. Popup sometimes stops working after workflow changes.

What I’ve checked: Data sources set correctly, Workflow is firing, User privacy rules allow Current User to modify own fields.

Has anyone else seen this behavior before?

If you mean the new profile photo is being saved to the user, then it seems that the display image has to reset or be linked to user itself. are you setting the display image in a state or upon load ?
