Really horrible BUG

Beware the ‘X’ delete that arrives at the top of a Table Column when you hove over the column header (a,b,c,d etc). If you click the ‘X’ by mistake you can’t get the column details back, you just get a blank column. Horrible BUG. I just lost about 4 hours work on column finessing. I’d suggest removing the ‘X” entirely as we are all used to right-clicking to delete columns. Nightmare.

Undo / restore to savepoint doesn’t work?

no unfortunately. I am still on the free version for this app but usually undo’s solves it all. It’s happened a number of times over the last month… thanks for the suggestion though

Yeah, that’s a really frustrating behavior in Bubble. I’ve run into it too — clicking that top ‘X’ deletes the column instantly without any undo, which can wipe out hours of work.

A safer way I use is to right-click the column header to delete or modify columns, and always make sure to duplicate the table or back up your data before making big changes. Bubble definitely needs a proper undo or warning for that ‘X’.

agreed. I usually never use the ‘X’ but I think I hovered by mistake and clicked by mistake so they def need a ‘warning’ of they can’t allow an ‘undo’.

@fede.bubble Can you bring this to team?

I did, waiting to hear back

Update: I escalated this to the editor team. They’ll review what’s going soon

@markeaston did you submit a bug report about this behavior?

no sorry I didn’t, I’m working crazily to finish a major app I’ve been working on so I didn’t get time.

i’m preparing a list of minor niggles that I’ve collated over the last 2 years and when the app is done I’ll submit them.
