Hi @berk_10 ,
I was not saying that Bubble is too cumbersome. It is a great platform for building apps. It unfortunately has recently suffered from technical issues that have reduced its reliability. My question above is whether subscribing to a dedicated plan can help to reduce our exposure to those outages and degraded performance issues.
Josh (founder and CTO) recently made a post about the things they are doing to improve their reliability, so I am hopeful that I will not have to incur the additional cost. Tech is a messy business and you roll the dice no matter what platform you choose - all was looking for above was a way to reduce my exposure to what I want to believe will be a short rough patch for Bubble.
If you are in the evaluation stage you should keep an open mind to other platforms but based on my research, Bubble is still the most complete all in one No Code platform on the market. It bootstrapped its way for about 10 years before taking a $100M of VC funds to take things to the next level. When I chose the No Code platform to use on my current project a year ago, my conclusion was that they are more likely to survive that many of the other players. The recent stability issues has reduced that probability calculation but only slightly. The market is being flooded with No Code platforms and only a few of these will survive (read Geoffrey Moore’s "Crossing the Chasm - still as relevant today as it was when it first came out) . Bubble’s first mover advantage is not a get out of jail free card, but it is worth a lot.
