Hi. I’ve been looking at bubble.io for about 30 hours.
Here are my requirements - I the admin - want to provide my vendors with a platform that they use to charge their customers via Stripe or PayPal using a form.
95% of each charge goes to the vendors Stripe or PayPal account, the remaining 5% goes to my Stripe or PayPal account.
Can bubble be used for that out of the box or otherwise?
I’ve found varying possibilities including the Stripe.js and ZeroCodes Stripe Express plugins. There also appears to be the ZeroCode Marketo template.
It is not clear if this requirement can be met without custom work.
Thanks for sharing that. Looks like some of my requirements are there but were you able to accomplish that out of the box or did it require plugins, themes and custom development?
After further research, It appears that paying a commission also referred to as splitting incoming payments between the platform owner and Vendor / Customer is a common topic but bubble doesn’t have an out of the box solution for at this time.
It seems that this has to be done using the Stripe API with Stripe Connect, a plugin or template designed specifically to meet that requirement or a combination of the three.

A few more hours of testing and research I found that all of the referenced Stripe requirements can be obtained using the native bubble Stripe plugin (In the bubble reference - https://bubble.io/reference#Plugins).
There are other possible solutions that involved plugins and templates but I wanted to be clear that this could be accomplished without a paid product.
This is definitely possible with bubble’s official stripe plugin.

Hi @Nocodify - Thanks for the feedback and sharing that resource. Looks like you are certainly providing a valuable service because there is a definitely learning curve.
But I think that’s normal especially for anything as robust as bubble appears to be. With every hour of reading and testing, the bubble way becomes more clear.
In brief, my goal is to push bubble as far as I can toward a set of moderately complex requirements - but common for a SaaS product - without investing in paid products or services.
At this point, I am excited about the possibilities of bubble. Especially having used Flash, WordPress, Visual Basic and other tools that sought to close the gap between coding and building.
