StoryPilot.io for sale (symbolic price)

Hi Bubblers

My StoryPilot.io app is for sale!

  • at a symbolic price!

My son will be born soon, and as I am working on another big project that pays well and takes most of my time. Therefore, I will be selling StoryPilot.io at a very reasonable price starting at 5.000 USD.

I really wan’t to see it grow in the hands of someone else. I have done little marketing but lots of strategic work within the industry and customized it, from plenty of user feedback. It is poular (1000 visits) and won a Bubble Con award. I am sure you or your studio can aquire a decent amount of users with little effort. Eg. add stories as sub-pages and index them on google

Several companies have excpressed interest in integrating it into their business. Scooter retal, Cruise Lines, Hotels and Hop on hop off tour operators. It has both B2C, B2B and licencing potential.

The package comes with:

  • Bubble App
  • Web app + Google Play and Apple native apps (Natively)
  • All branding material and rights to it
  • Domain
  • Strategic materiel and access to my network within the danish turism industry
  • A couple hours of help from me to get started

If seriously interested, send me direct message, mail me at siticum@gmail.com or call at +45 91604060

Lowering the price to 2000 USD

Putting it up on the Bubble.io marketplace as a template will make you more money than the price tag!

Hey @login ,

Hope you’ve been doing well! I just came across this post and it instantly reminded me of you and your application. I previously worked at ZQ, and you might remember me as Stefan.

I really wanted to say that your application is exceptionally well built—especially the way you integrated the Mapbox plugin. It’s been a real pleasure working with you, and honestly, you’ve been one of the best clients I’ve had so far. If it were entirely up to me, I’d have implemented every single thing you wanted in that plugin

Wishing you all the best with your future projects—Storypilot.io is truly a masterpiece

Absolutely and likewise Stefan!

I really appreciate your help. Always professional and helpful! The mapbox plugin became a lot better with you behind the wheel. To be honest on my end, I didn’t expect it from ZeroCode. You are raised the bar for plugin development  Appreciated!

I went to take a look out of curiosity. I rejected the permissions request, navigated a sea of blue, found a few map pins, clicked one (in London). I read some genAI content. I had no idea what this was / is / does. As a founder, you may know what its all about but to a ‘normal person’ this is a confused UX & a website with an unclear value proposition. You want to offload but you may need to work on your prospectus!

Thanks. Try it again - Not rejecting the location request . The micro-acquire profile I am working on will have more info. Will update here as well.

I accepted all and didn’t seem to do anything. I clicked everything, toggled auto start but still nothing happened other than an alert twice indicating 100 places added. I then clicked search icon, saw search world so I typed Africa. I saw some suggestions. Clicked first suggestion and finally something happened.

I was navigated to a map with Africa and saw 16 places added alert. I clicked on a map icon that is an image. I then saw a google street view of a shopping center despite my selection of an African safari. I pulled up the info bar and read about some business in Ontario Canada.

What is this app supposed to do?

@login The UI on the app is very slick and I love the concept. I think your price is reasonable and I hope you find an interested party. I would be interested but I’m not sure how I would monetize it or if I would have the time to do anything with it.

@boston85719 You just have to wait for the POI data to load. It’s very slow. Once it loads it all makes sense and is very cool. I drive by a place in my town every day and always wondered why nobody removed the old looking building. It happened to be a POI on the site and I wondered why I never bothered to look it up previously. Anyways, be VERY patient for the data points to load and eventually it should be clear what the app does.

Much appreciated @bubble.trouble!

Forgot the about page and pitch:

I am aware that POI generation is slow. It fetches everything on the fly. POIs from all wikipedias (various languages) from a pool of 40M + places, then generates the markers with a CDN (content delivery network). Once you press the POI, text is streamed from OpenAI, then narrated using OpenAI as well.

Data pool
Most other apps have a limited library of pre-written and generated POIs. The idea with this app is to infinite data. Even the story text are adjusted to the narrator characteristics on the fly and there are loads of possibilities to improve them. Eg. remember the last 20 stories and make them “flow”… not be like the previous and change small details.

Speed improvements
The speed can be improved, both upgraded to a newer micro GPT model, the CDN can be speeded up or better. Generate the markers with a js library in the APP instead of using an API - This is by far the biggest bottle neck and will improve the speed considerably.

Also, marker resolution can be lowered and POIs pre-generated based on app usage and location. At the moment POIs are stored once generated. So… If you use the app a lot in a local city, you will have most of the POIs generated after 2-5 app opens, depending on the city size. Once in the database, they lost almost instantly.

Also, OpenAIs streaming TTS is slower than eg. Play.ht. Which also has emotional control. Its quite straight forward to make the swap with the plugins.

The concept

  1. hands free. Not more “finding places”. Hit play and go. You focus on the real world
  2. inspired by the pandemic isolation, and going off the beaten path, POIs are not “just” the typical places, but all the things you didn’t know existed. That was the idea to begin with.
  3. Custom narration. No more cached generic stuff. Its made for YOU.

Monetisation

Okay, it will take time. But at least you have a tested and almost finished product. I made the app in close collaboration with the truism industry orgs. in Denmark. Several business devs. was involved. About 400 hours spent. Little for getting this far, but it was fun.

Several firms showed interested:

  • Hotels: Offering it for free, collecting user emails for events and conferences. 1-2 USD pr mail
  • Scooter rental: Incorporating it for free in their model. Classic licencing model
  • Paywall: let the user pay a small subscription price after 5 stories listened. Eg. 9 USD pr month. Go for mass market and be the international-worldwide alternative to the hordes of sub-par guided audio tour apps.
  • Sell advertisements: Add POIs for restaurants and other places. Let the pay a small price to customize their POT story / text.

Other info

  • Cost about 100 USD pr month to run
  • Comes with iOS and Android apps - Try them out. They have “Autoplay” function that reads stories once you pass them. Hands free. Wupwup.

If you have start-up / scaleup experience and 5-10 hours a week to spend. Or a Bubble dev to pay a bit for UX / speed improvements. This will give a decent head start… Or better. Affiliated with a Hotel or hotel chain. Let them offer it for free on their counters with a QR code  Charge them a monthly fee.

Or spend 10-20 hours on turning it into a template on the marketplace and see what happens  I earned 30K USD on similar apps, but much less tightly integrated and less functionality.

@boston85719 Remember to turn on sound. Download the iOS or Android app for the full experience. The web app cant fetch your background location and thus, not auto play stories when you get near them. The native apps better.

And a heads up for the pros. Send PM.
Eg. adding it as a template or marketing channel to your portfolio.

Lowering price to 1.000 USD (the lowest I will go rather than closing it down and deleting it) and leaving it here a couple of days.
