Test email goes to spam with link to test site

I’m attempting to set up email notifications on the test version of my application. When I’m testing, the email notification goes directly to spam. I’ve determined that it will go to spam if I include a link to any page on the test site. When I switched out to include a link to a random live site, the email went through normally.

Is this expected behavior? Will the email go to regular inbox when my app goes live and is hosted on my own domain?

Are you using SendGrid?

Thanks for the help! I took a quick peak at SendGrid and noticed it requires at least $10/month, so was hoping I could accomplish email notifications using bubble during the first iteration of app. Is the recommendation to use sendgrid if I want email notifications?
