Wierd numbering happening all of a sudden + incremental number issues

I’m running a bulk action to set a number = 1 and it’s showing a 2 in the database for hundreds of entries.

Why would it set things to “2” and not 1 with the above? - Never seen this before.

This is after finding my reference number no longer increments by 1 and no settings changed!

As of about 7:30PM EST last night (Sunday) no longer could i increment by one by Searching for the Thing:last item:reference-number+1 works!?

No privacy rules impacted and all fields accessible and searchable.

All i get for reference numbers now is 1, 1, 1, no increment off of the last 1 created.

My search is contrained to search the last thing created where the ‘reference number’ is not empty, but it’s not working!

It looks like sitewide there is an issue with this contraint or counter or (something else)?!

Very strange behavior indeed, have you tried again with 1 today?
