Are child elements loaded when the parent group element visible in not checked?

If a parent group is not checked to be visible on page load, however, the child elements within the group are checked, do the child elements load on pageload or when the parent group is displayed?

Invisible groups contents are not loaded on page load.

Try placing content that you want loaded but you also want hidden in a popup that you never open.

Popups and their contents are always loaded on page load.
