I can’t clear the recorder without refreshing the page. I saw earlier in the thread that this capability was added to the plugin - but I don’t see it. Was it removed?
the quality of the audio recorded via mobile safari is really bad. Is there a way to improve it?
We’ve tested the plugin live demo page on our side and created four recordings with different lengths without refreshing the page, the device used is a laptop on windows (Google Chrome browser).
Please see the plugin demo editor page, and its workflow and try to replicate it on your side.
Please share more details about the device you are using, your OS version, screenshots of your workflow, and the browser used.
Unfortunatly, we haven’t noticed that, please make sure you record something close to the microphone of your device. Also, you can try changing the audio format and see if that will improve the quality of the audio recording.
Is there a file size limitation on these utilities to get it into a private bucket? My novice understanding is any large audio files will not get through the bottleneck on the back-end (specifically keen on GCS, where the plugin looks limited to 22MB)
Interested to know if anyone is successfully saving large audio files (up to an hour) directly in a bucket vs Bubble’s default AWS DB as step 1 (specifically Google’s, but shouldn’t matter for this question) ?
Hope we understood your question right, generally, the file size limitation for uploading to a private bucket depends on the specific cloud storage service you are using and its configuration settings.
For example, Google Cloud Storage (GCS) has default limits for file size uploads, which can be increased by requesting a quota increase. The maximum size limit for a single file upload in GCS is 5 TB. However, there may be other limitations depending on your specific account and usage.
It is possible to save large audio files (up to an hour or more) directly in a bucket on Google Cloud Storage or other cloud storage services, as long as you adhere to their file size limitations and have enough storage space available. In some cases, it may be necessary to use multi-part uploads to upload large files in chunks.
If you are using a plugin or library to upload files to a private bucket, be sure to check its documentation for any specific file size limitations or requirements. If you encounter any issues, you can contact the support team for your cloud storage service for assistance.
Hope the above will be useful for you.
In case you will have other Audio Recorder plugin questions, feel free to contact us, we’ll be glad to help.
Best regards,
Thanks! If your recorder supports a save directly to Google Cloud, I’m all set and will give it a try. My one concern was Bubble’s own limitation of passing large files through the backend if I had to save it to their AWS first and then move it to my bucket.
While the AudioRecorder plugin doesn’t offer actions like “save the file to”, it does have one event that triggers when AudioRecorder A finishes uploading the recording.
The audio recorder supplies a recording link that you can store in the Database. On our plugin demo page, the file is saved in the Bubble database, but you can experiment with saving it to any cloud storage as the recorder generates a file URL.
Hello @aj11,
Please accept our apologies for the late reply.
We’ve tested the plugin with .mp3 format but the issue you reported is not reproducing on our side, unfortunately. There may be a temporary problem not caused by the plugin. But still, can you please provide more details, like which exact devices/browsers are you encountering this issue? This can help us reproduce it on our side.
Tested on Safari (mobile), Chrome(desktop). It seemed fairly consistent and still occurred after isolating the plugin element on its own page away from the rest of my app.
Definitely could have been a temporary problem if you’re using any outside library or services for recording or converting mp3.
No big deal for us as we’re happy with just using .wav moving forward.
Yes, because we have thoroughly tested it in the mentioned browsers and devices, and it is working as expected. However, if you do encounter this issue again, please don’t hesitate to let us know. We would really like to know what might be the issue in your case, and help you to figure out how to fix the problem on your end.
I have recently purchased your plugin and tested it. It works perfectly on a computer; however, it does not work on iPhone Safari or Chrome. Please advise.
Hello @tursun.alkam,
Sorry for the late reply due to the weekend.
We’ve tested the plugin on iPhone (both Safari and Chrome) and it seems to work well on our end.
In order to better assist you, could you please provide more details about the specific issue you are encountering? Are you unable to record audio, or are you experiencing issues with a broken link? If possible, would you be able to provide a video recording that demonstrates your setup and the result you are experiencing? Please also indicate exactly which iPhone device you are using.
Hi,
It works when it is alone but does not work when there are other audio-recorders on the page. The main headache is: it does not work with Open AI Whisper-1 while other audio-recorders work with whisper-1 on computer browsers but not on mobile device browsers. So, I tried to add other audio-recorder with yours on the same page with a condition of devices, and it did not work.

If you are on paid plans you can subscribe to a plugin and use it for 1-2 days or any extent of time that you wish- when you subscribe to a plugin you pay only for the actual number of days you used it and not for the full month. The fee is added to the monthly bill (or yearly if the user is on a yearly plan), and the amount is prorated. If you subscribe to a plugin for one day you’ll end up being charged for this plugin fee / 30, so if it doesn’t work for you within a few days you can uninstall it and it won’t cost you much.
In case you are satisfied with this plugin, you can simply uninstall the plugin and once it’s uninstalled you will be able to see the “Buy” button to pay only once. And, you will only pay the difference.
Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.
