Using the new Development panel option “Create save point” does nothing. Nothing shows in the “History” link.
“Deploy current version to live” however, does work and makes and entry in the “History” panel.

Update… continues to be intermittent but it does work if you press the enter key after entering your text. The problem, in my case, is with the save button at this point.
Thought this might help those experiencing this issue.
Thanks for the heads-up on the Enter key. That works for me whereas the save button doesn’t work.
