Equity Offer (Co-Founder)

Seeking Bubble Developer to Join as Co-Founder in Exciting App Project

#please don’t comment if you have nothing positive to say or not interested.#

Hello Bubble Community!

I’m looking for a talented Bubble developer to partner with me in bringing my app to life. I’m currently building an innovative platform (global gig and employment market place) and am seeking a skilled developer who shares my passion and vision to help complete the project.

What I’m Looking For:

•	Experienced Bubble Developer: Proficiency in creating scalable and user-friendly applications on Bubble.
•	Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to overcome challenges and find creative solutions.
•	Team Player: Willing to collaborate closely with me to refine and expand our app.

What’s in It for You?

This is an equity-based opportunity, so instead of a traditional payment, I’m offering ownership equity in the app. This means you’ll be part of the journey and share in the success as we grow. I’m committed to deploying this platform globally and believe that together we can create substantial value.

If you’re passionate about working on a high-potential app and want to be part of something big from the ground up, let’s connect! Please reach out with your experience, any portfolio work, and why you’re interested in partnering on this project.

Please text me at 469-773-0111.

Looking forward to building something amazing together!

I don’t see any figures - free work then?

@kenhomeautomation I am curious what it is that you are bringing to this partnership. Do you have a set amount of cash available that will be deployed to advertising and promoting the marketplace. Do you already have a business plan put together and a strategy that will ensure the success of the platform. From my understanding the business is a global gig platform, so nothing new, so the idea itself can not be all you are bringing to the partnership.

How far along is the app already?

Is that the plan out of the gate, or are you planning on releasing it in a single, local market first?

Also, why are you seeking an equity co-founder to build the app as opposed to just paying somebody to build the app?

Because if it doesn’t work they’re not out anything.

I’d be more concerned if the answer was because there are no funds to pay a developer, which would mean there are no funds to promote/advertise the platform.

I would be more concerned if the offer were just an equity offer.

Advertising doesn’t equal success.

If most app developers worked on equity, they’d own a ton of equity in nothing.

If someone has an idea and can’t get funding…that means it’s an idea that’s a hobby right now and they’re dreaming it will become something.

Most of us know the success rate of new app ideas.

True, and zero advertising likely equals no success. Basically, the OP needs to have some skin in the game, other than coming up with an idea that is not unique.

For a new app, advertising is the least of the worries.

Someone developing an app for a new idea should have a landing page up before they even start building the app.

Find out if your idea is even marketable.

Get some signups. Use beta testers as you go…

then use the beta testers to promote your app.

Anyone who waits until an app is done to begin marketing only shows they have no idea what they’re doing. It is cost-effective to pay someone with knowledge in the long run.

Also, if someone doesn’t have a couple hundred thousand to have an app built…it then becomes about time. Time or money.

Take the time to learn to do it yourself.

Bubble is a platform where anyone can learn to do it themselves.

So, if you don’t have the money to have an app built, why would you go where you can spend your time to learn how to build one…

and then ask someone to just do it for you for free in exchange for equity in an idea they have no idea if it will work or not?

Everyone is entitled to do what they want. It’s just after 10 years of working with apps in the code world, I have my own feelings about the issue because I’ve seen it all and probably heard it all and also know the outcome 99.99% of the time.

Can you build and develop my app? I’ll willing to pay?

Sony has a track record that is verifiable and public. What other applications have you had developed and turned into a profit making application/business? That could be seen as what you bring to the table other than an idea.

Also, Sony pays for all of the marketing/promotion of the movie, and has a budget set aside for such things, as well as paying for all of the supporting roles (maybe not actors but camera crew, music and makeup types etc.) - these supporting roles could be seen as the digital marketing agency in charge of overseeing the multiple online channels the app is promoted through, as well as the sales representatives or sales agents that are doing the leg work of getting new paid signups etc.

Best advice I ever got in regards to attempting to do a startup came from a friend of my father. My father put us together for a breakfast to speak on my idea and what it was I wanted to achieve. My friends father told me, ‘no offense, but who the hell are you. I’m here out of respect for your father, but what have you ever done? Why would anybody give you their money to build your idea?’ He elaborated and told me, ‘if I had any chance of getting some funding, I needed to either have a successful track record of turning my ideas into profit making businesses, or demonstrate and showcase that I have already invested into the new idea myself, through having an MVP developed and getting users so as to demonstrate a product to market fit.’

It was after that meeting that I attempted to find developers who could build the MVP for me so that I could then attempt the product to market fit portion and gain some users to demonstrate traction. When 6 months of going to meetups and attempting to tap into my limited network of developers, failed to find a developer who would buy into my dream, I found Bubble and learned how to build it myself.

Most investments into startups are for the team behind it, and that would hold true when attempting to create a partnership with a developer, implying the developer would have to be ‘buying into’ you (as the team right now seems to be you).

What is it about you, that a competent developer should know, in order for that developer to see this offer as worth their investment…after all time is money and most developers charge money for the time it takes them to develop, so a developer developing for free, is a developer investing into a business that has yet to launch.

If you are interested in pursuing this, I can build it.
