This is sort of true.

Now, it is true that there is no way to press a single button and have an entire template added to an existing application, but you definitely can take a template and integrate it to an existing app.

You need to use Bubble copy/paste functions (DO NOT USE THE COPY TO ANOTHER APPLICATION FUNCTION AS IT DOESN’T WORK CORRECTLY). You would go through an first get all data entries, then option sets, then styles and plugins. Then do each reusable element and lastly the pages.

When Bubble editor is not buggy, the process is usually simple enough with minimal issues in issue checker. When bubble editor is in a buggy state (usual situation) you may encounter unexpected issues that may add to the total time to integrate.

Depending on the template and amount of reusables and pages, the process can be pretty short (like under an hour) to a longer process (10-15 hours) for more complex templates.

An example, I have a Calendly Clone template, that is a full blown scheduling application. On good days (ie: Bubble works as it should) it can take 5-7 hours to integrate fully into another existing application, and when Bubble is being Bubble (ie: not working as it should) the process can take around 10 hours. This example is for a full blown application, not just a simple feature.

Being able to integrate existing templates into another existing application is a great way to save tons of money in development time, since like the example above of the Calendly Clone template, the time to build out that entire application is in the range of 60-70 hours for experienced developer to get same functionality.

When integrating smaller templates that are more just a simple feature set, the time savings can still be considerable and worth the integration time compared to the time to build from scratch.
