Hey,
I have a social media website developed and optimised for desktops. It is a responsive website but there are some glitches in alignment here and there which I am working towards changing. My question is if I have a completely new set of pages for the mobile version, would that make the app heavy? Also, in my index page, if I create an alternate page for the mobile version and make that a ā€˜native appā€™, would you be able to differentiate and create the app just from the native app or will you make the entire website into an app and it will load only the mobile version?

This is the first time I would be using the wrap feature, so kinda new hereā€¦

Thanks in advance!

Hi @rthdvinay ,

Thanks for reaching out and providing the interest.

The process is pretty simple, we are wrapping the responsive version of your web app (mobile view), and the native apps will look and work the same way.

If you want to have a different look for the native apps, you can still accomplish it by creating some groups that will appear only for the mobile responsiveness.

Of course, the best way would be creating an SPA (Single Page Application) to boost the speed and performance of your app, but even with multiple pages it will work fine. We have put a list of bubble tips and tricks for native you can check for more details. Creating separate pages for the mobile version will certainly slow down your app. It will get overloaded with pages and elements.

Let us know if you have more questions.

Hey, I am trying to use the ā€˜preview your siteā€™ app on your website, but it says cannot connect to your siteā€¦ Could you help me understand how to use thatā€¦?
(Its Black friday season so, early response would be appreciated)

Hey, I had one more questionā€¦
I have my site designed as a responsive site, thus there are no mobile specific pages. Also this is not a single page site

Now before I go ahead with your wrapper, I was thinking to create a mobile version of ā€˜homeā€™ page and then create the entire site on that new page.

So now my concern is that whether the app will take only the mobile version page or will it take the desktop version and create the responsive site as my app?

Hi @rthdvinay ,

Thanks for feedback. Our preview on the landing page is an iframe. In order to make it work, just go to Bubble editor, Settings > General tab to allow all iframes:

To have the full native experience of your Bubble app, it will be required to purchase the Air Native service, but you can test the demo apps we have (some of our templates wrapped into native) to see how they work, before purchase.

Additionally, our team is already working on a native preview that will actually run a native app. When this feature will be live, weā€™ll make sure to announce it!

It is possible to go with different approaches. Weā€™d highly recommend you simply use the existing pages but simply create different UI/UX for mobile views (because the wrapper will take the mobile responsive of your Bubble app). This way, you will not have to duplicate your entire app on a single page, because it will still overload the entire website.

When wrapping, you can indicate a specific page to be the first page on load e.g. the login page, so that users will have to log in first, before having the access to the app features.

Hey, thanks for responding.
I have purchased the Air native converter on your site.

I was wondering if I need to connect google analytics separately to the app? If so then how do you do it?
Or
Is it going to display the data on the google analytics of my website itself?

TIA

Hi @rthdvinay ,

Thanks for the feedback. The Google Analytics is not a mandatory connection as separate. It is going to display the Google Analytics of the website itself.

Hello ,

Does animation slides work with Air Native? Do you have an app as example and how do I setup this animations to work inside Air native. Thank you

Hi @willyfvn ,

Thanks for reaching out. The Bubble app that contains slide animations will work the same way in native Android and iOS apps. There are no native setups for the animation slides per se. This is just your Bubble app that needs to be tweaked with slide animations, then test it out the same way in native.

Iā€™m afraid we do not have such demo examples in our demo apps, unfortunately. However, the slides will be working the same way as in the web app, for sure.

Let us know if you have more questions.

The intro mentions barcode/qrcode scanning, but I cannot find any other mention in documentation. Does it support native scanning? And if so, can you active the front and/or back cameras? Needing a solution that allows both for kiosk functionality

Hi @andrew ,

Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, the barcode & QR code scanning is not an available feature in this plugin per se, but if you require such, the possible workaround would be using our Barcode & QR Code Reader Plugin, as a workaround.

Let us know if you need more help.

Request:
The Air Native Pluginā€™s ā€œshareā€ feature only does URLs. There should also be a function for sharing images via the sharesheet so that user can post them to insta, whatsapp, etc. Passing the imageā€™s URL isnā€™t elegant.

Hi @ZeroqodeSupport
One question for Air Native service:
Iā€™m planning to purchase this Native service to convert my app with many plugins including multiple Zeroqode plugins like wasabi cloud storage plugin.
However, Iā€™ve found the description like the below on the doc about this service, which is saying that only two plugins from Zeroqode are compatible with Air Native as of now.
image
Should I take this as: other plugins provided by Zeroqode and other vendors (even including bubble) donā€™t work (or at least itā€™s not guaranteed) through Air Native conversion?
Iā€™d like to avoid the situation like essential plugins donā€™t work after $299 invested on this service so your confirmation on this is very appreciated.

Hi @mizawaya ,

Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, this is correct. We cannot guarantee the smooth functionality of third-party plugins to be compatible with Air Native, but we do have this list that will expand. Additionally, our team is building a native preview mode where it will be possible to test all Zeroqode plugins for compatibility, prior to purchasing the wrapper. Weā€™ll make sure to announce it via all channels when pushing to live!

Hi @ZeroqodeSupport
Thanks for your reply. Good to hear the below - this should be what I need to confirm the compatibility of my app with Air Native.

Will be waiting for your update accordingly!

Wait, so if i converted to native using a ZQ or any other wrapper, does that mean the plugins I use in my web app may or may not work?

@ZeroqodeSupport ?

Hi @Arifi ,

Unfortunately - yes, the community-based plugins are mainly focused on the Bubble platform to work well in web. However, there are separate plugins that are built for native apps, for instance our Air Native Plugin that works hand in hand with the Air Native service.

This is why we are currently building a native preview to test the app prior to purchasing the Air Native license, so it will be much easier for you to decide  Weā€™ll announce this tool once published soon.

Hi,
Does Air Native support WebRTC plugin by Daily Video Conferencing?

Hi @yj.johnrhee, thanks for your inquiry and sorry for the delayed reply.

Yes, it supports the WebRTC plugin but as it is a third party plugin, unfortunately we canā€™t guarantee that this would work properly on all types of devices and browsers.

Once any other information about the compatible plugins will become available, we will expand the compatibility list to be more exhaustive.
