Need help with overall speed/performance in Professional Plan

This is quite consistent with my own app on bubble as well… and these past few days I’ve gotten more reports from my users that page load speeds are unbearably slow.

Digging around for this topic on the forums show that these speed issues we’re the same even a year ago

Has bubble page load speed become too slow recently?

I have noticed that page load speed on my app in development has become incredibly slow recently. Just about a month ago, I would see my page begin loading almost immediately. Over the past few weeks I’ve noticed that there is about 4-5 seconds of a waiting period for other pages to load before my page is loaded. I tested my apps page speed and got really poor results. The diagnostic report indicated there is about 5.5 seconds of ‘stuff’ getting loaded that could be optimized. All of that ‘stu…

I dont have any answers or tips as I’m still debugging my app. I’ll be going over the way my RGs pull data (I know there are currently quite a few inefficiencies) but I dont think that’s the main issue… The main bubble.io page and my home page doesn’t have data heavy RGs.

Yes, we tell the browser to cache it, so subsequent page loads should be faster. Also, we separate the javascript out into generic javascript that runs on every bubble app, and specific javascript for the current page, so that the generic javascript can be cached even between different bubble apps (which means the more people who use bubble, the faster apps will load!)

There’s a lot more insights from @josh (Bubbble founder) on how bubble handles performace on that thread (albeit its a little dated), the one related to this topic could be that first time loads are always the longest. Which is why your version-test or when you load your app it can feel fast but other users tell you it’s slow. It’s also why PageSpeed insights shows slow loads.
