Please Add a Startup Plan

Greetings, @Bubble! With the recent termination of Bubble’s Hobby plan, I wanted to voice what I’ve seen others voice elsewhere in the forum, and that is a request for a plan that bridges the gap between Free and Personal.

I recently discovered Bubble, and the power of Bubble coupled with the freedom of the Hobby plan is what led me to abandon my WordPress site, which I was wanting to use as both a blog/self-promotion website and as an e-learning platform.

I (and many others I’m sure) really WANT to use Bubble and help support Bubble’s vision. Unfortunately, jumping from $0 to $300/year just to get a live app and custom domain isn’t really a viable option for use cases that aren’t power users or developer- or agency-oriented. Finances are limited when you’re just starting up or are wanting to use Bubble as a CMS or just to get your name out there. This is doubly true when cheaper alternatives (e.g., WordPress + a domain for under $100/year) exist.

I’d love to see a Bubble plan that lets users publish to live and use a custom domain. I’d totally get it if there were restrictions in terms of file storage and number of things like with the Free plan, but the lack of a plan like this sadly makes Bubble less tenable than other solutions.

ADDITION: To be clear, I wholly respect Bubble’s right to charge for its services and would be more than happy to pay to support the platform; I’d just like to see a pricing model that is geared toward startup users that positions Bubble competitively for “entry level” users, meaning a plan that is comparable to standard pricing for WordPress hosting + a domain.

I can’t stress this enough. Especially if we want to launch a lot of small app ideas for validation. We would love a startup plan to do so. If we launch 10 a year then those costs stack up.

Agreed.
I chose bubble over weblow to validate ideas exactly because it allowed me to test them for free.
I would then go on to use bubble since I had already built on it.
But now, why would I choose bubble to test things if it costs me 30 dollars a month?
No this was a not a great move for your community.
Please update this…

Updated original post but figure I’d post here as well:
