You probably copied the element from another page or something like that, and now the “Element” that is referenced from the action displays an ID instead of the name. The solution is simple - just use the dropdown to select the element by name where it currently says “ifu.” This will fix the bug.
No I actually didn’t do that. Also this was fine yesterday and now all my “animate popup” workflows show as an issue.
This might have something to do with it:
So it’s a bug? Hopefully they fix it soon.
This was on purpose, and we apologize for breaking your workflow! Popups have their own animation code, which in a number of cases conflicted with added animations. We decided that until we had a better solution to this problem, it was best to remove the feature.
So should we use show/hide instead?
Yes, do that.
This really stinks, I just switched over to animations on everything! Now i have 159 issues to fix before i can even do another release. Not cool bubble. This really should have been one of those updates that we could choose to do. It broke my app completely. Kinda disappointed.
Yep, I totally agree with you I thought I only had 4 issues but as I went through other pages it went up to 231 issues . They should give us the option to remove it or keep it…
This is frustrating, but this seems not only applied to Popups, because I’m getting issues for Hidden Groups and reusable elements that have animations as well.
@marca Any idea?
This change applies to all elements with their own built in animations—popups and group focus. It also applies to groups, but only if both “Collapse this element’s height when hidden” and “Animate the collapse operation” are checked.
Is bubble down right now or something? I am trying to click on all the errors to fix them and its not doing anything. It also just keeps saying Saving…
What is going on?
I’m really hoping for a fix to this in the near term.
Another case to consider: some users may utilize animations along with a Group Focus (ex. displaying a Menu/Drawer). Group focus doesn’t allow for collapse height, which means no ability to use the collapse animation that exists within a group. Therefore, only show hide conditions, which are fairly clunky. (While a group could be used instead, that defeats the purpose of a Group Focus).
Anyone have a solution to include the animations within the popup formatting?
if bubble has removed functionality on the workflows, then surely there is a solution to add these animations to the popups/groups themselves?@marca, any tips?
Let me confer with the team in the morning and see what we can work out.
Thats a lot of work for something that used to be so simple. Now i have 190 errors. Booo to this update.
Sigh…, Bubble, why have your forsaken me?
Also,
@marca , I have never seen you on here before? Maybe you can introduce yourself. You seem to have only been on the forum for 2 days.
Hi @jklabbatz, I’m a new dev at Bubble, I joined the team a week ago.
Great to see that the team is growing. Welcome to the Bubble team! I’m also relatively new to the bubble platform and I see a lot of passion, enthusiasm and support from other members of this community. You’re part of a great platform and we look forward in working with you.
