You know formatted as text, you can have effectively a small conditional if-else statement, if yes value is text1, if no value is text2. That way you wont need to have 2 wf’s but 1 wf is enough if you create a thing or modify a thing. Now think of it as formatted as option set, or formatted as data type.
ha I understand now…
what if you do Alloption set:filtered and in filtered, you can use Display = Input value is ? :formatted as text
however, I agree this could be a good idea that I would update like having formatted as date…
What if there is 3 conditions ?
nested formatted as text
= input’s value is ? formatted as text YES give a value, NO add another input value:formatted as text (yes again give the value, no will be default for all other conditions)
No how will you filter all option set approach with 3 conditionals if those filter types are not text ?
If they are not text type, this mean you also have other field type in OS. It won’t prevent you to use them in filtered. And maybe OS is not the correct option and you should consider DB type instead?
But again, I agree this is a good idea that will make this kind of stuff faster to build
Is there any chance the board could be cleared out a bit so the ones that are actually currently relevant are at the top?
Great to see a focus on user contributions. I note that the ‘Leave a comment’ does not work and the ‘Join the forum’ link is generic. These are making the ideaboard worse, are they bugs?
Hello Elisabeth,
Thanks for the opportunity to suggest bubble ideas.
I think that there are a lot of functionalities that could be part of bubble’s core.
Example:
- Random number generator - Resolved, without a plug-in. Guy
- A much better interface for the Settings - Languages page. It is ill-conceived from my point of view. Normally, in translation, we do side-by-side reviews. Right now, we can only see one language at a time. It is a bit frustrating when we have to navigate from one language to another back and fortht. I understand that we can export, translate, import, but that is also a hassle.
- Native audio and video file uploads. Why is it not already in the Bubble Mobile Beta?
- My point of view, and I am not a highly technical developer, why is it that Repeating Groups and Short Lists or Selectable List not the same from Web to Mobile. In creating the mobile version of my WebApp, I had to restructure all of the RGs to Lists. It was really, really painful.
That’s it for now. Please do not take this as a rant, I am simply looking to learn and learn and learn.
Guy
Already exist
Because they are using React native components.
Merci Jici. C’est ce que je disais. Je ne suis pas suffisamment technique.
So, React native on Mobile and what is used on the Web side (HTML, CSS, JavaScript?)
Yes exactly. You can add node for server script
It can certainly feel that way for sure. Currently there are 1,925 ideas submitted, 105 of them are my submissions. Of those 105 submissions, I have absolutely no idea how many of them have actually been implemented or not because of….
…the blue check mark; great I’ve already filtered by my ideas, so naturally I understand I likely upvoted them, so how about a little banner or flag that indicates it has shipped. And @elisabeth if we could sort by shipped that would be cool too.
Being able to see all that have been shipped at a glance whether for the entire idea board or just those that we submitted feels like an obvious win for Bubble with this redesign as that will open up the transparency on how often these ideas get implemented.
Also, add in a little time tracker, like days until implemented, being as a past tense of when did it get submitted and when did it get implemented, so as to keep the team a bit accountable, since ideas seem to go to the idea board to die.
Another great little thing the team could do, is hire a dedicated engineer to be the idea board person, whose job it is, is to just tick feature requests off, on a daily basis…maybe even make it something we can gamify too, like ‘implemented within one week after reaching 100 upvotes’ so that maybe people get a little more incentive to bother with upvoting, since again, it kind of feels like ideas go to the idea board to die.
@elisabeth is the team going to email the idea submitters of all existing ideas to request they fill in the new details so that existing ideas may benefit from these extra fields?
Yeah a ‘Recently shipped’ section at the top would be amazing!
It would be great if there was a kind of kanban showing what is being requested, what is being developed and what has been delivered. I’ve seen other companies doing this, I thought it was cool.
I remember back in the day when we had not only a roadmap… but also a list of what was shipped that day (Releases). 8 years is a long time.
So excited for this!!
Thank you all for the thoughtful comments. I’ve been reading through every message and really value the mix of feature suggestions and feedback. Next week I’ll share a more detailed response with context on the path we took to land on these improvements and to directly address some of what’s already been shared.
A special thank-you as well to those who flagged the unexpected behavior with commenting on others’ submissions – we’re already looking into it and appreciate your patience in the meantime!
Hello @elisabeth
I’m bubbling since 5 years. I don’t post anything anymore to the ideaboard because nothing gets out of there.
You cannot ask a child to write a Santa s list if Santa will never come to brings the gifts ![]()
Bubble boosts has happened once or twice and it was really a nice thing. But it stopped, with no info.
Good ideas, nothing shipped. It is very frustrating.
@josh you send hope by email. Let it happen now pls.
We need a clear past present and future roadmap.
