I’m Elisabeth, a product manager for our internal team of Bubble Developers.
Your ideas guide what we build next. That’s why we’ve refreshed our Ideaboard to better capture your feedback and the details we need to turn them into high-impact improvements.
What’s new
Our new intake form captures not only the feature you have in mind, but also the problem you’re trying to solve, helping us build smarter, more meaningful solutions that truly meet your needs.
We’ve also added fields like product area and urgency to help us spot patterns across submissions. That way, we can tackle the problems that matter most to you and to the broader Bubble community.
How your submissions shape the roadmap
We may not be able to build every individual request, but every submission matters. The problems, themes, and insights you share help us prioritize and inform the roadmap, ensuring the features we do build deliver the most value.
Share your ideas
Visit bubble.io/ideaboard to submit your ideas and help shape the future of Bubble.
Now I hope you start taking the suggestions more seriously, because I’m seeing a lot of new things coming out, but most of the suggestions just sit there… for years …
The most requested one was opened five years ago…
And this is just one example…
100% Agree with @rpetribu . The native PDF generation one is huge. From what I remember, Bubble started it and then dropped it midway. It was like something that wasn’t very important that they gave to an intern that was never completed. Please actually follow up on the top ideas @elisabeth
Could you consider adding another category where we could select if the idea is for Mobile, Web or Both? There will be a lot of idea that will only be for mobile (because they already exist in web)
Really don’t want them to waste time on issues that can already easily be handled through plugins or external APIs. PDF.co is my go-to for powerful PDF generation features. Highly recommended!
Hey @elisabeth. I’m really glad to see Bubble making user feedback a priority. I’d love to see the ideaboard include more roadmappy info (in consideration, in progress, shipped, etc.). As it is (and as it has been), sorta feels like we’re just putting stuff in there with no feedback for us on the status of things. Risks being perceived as a waste of time, unfortunately.
I’ve always appreciated the way Canny.io handles communication back to users. (Clickup has an extremely lively instance that I’ve always found really useful for understanding where the company’s mindset and intention were on feature requests. It’s reassuring to be in a space with activity, if that makes sense.) To be honest, I’ve never understood why Bubble decided to build this in-house, although I’m sure there’s a lot I’m not privy to.)
Anyways, couple things, I saw when I took a peek at the updates:
Little bug on the comments box, I think? After a few seconds, the submit button goes away and it tells me to join the forum (I’m clearly logged into the forum).
Also, I might be the only one, but I feel like the blue checkbox on the count is pretty confusing. I assumed this meant that the feature request had been shipped, but I’m now realizing it means I’ve upvoted it.
Lets say I am creating a thing X based on input’s value, x_data_field = input’s value is get an option Y, if yes …, right now I can only output text, that is formatted as text. This will save me tremendous amount of time.
Lets say you are changing a data field based on conditional, lets say that field is a text field, right now based on a condition you can change it easily without additional workflow via formatted as text option.
But if that field is an option set or a data type other then text you will need to create another conditional wf, with formatted as option set item or formatted as data type you will be able to do it easily.
