Thanks again to all of you for the thoughtful comments in this thread! After reading through each one, I wanted to take a moment to respond to common themes that came up.
On Top-Voted Ideas and Prioritization
I hear the concern about top-voted ideas not always moving forward. Votes absolutely help us gauge interest, but we also have to consider feasibility, impact, and timing. That said, your submissions are never ignored; instead, they continue to shape our thinking and influence the long-term roadmap.
On Status Updates & Roadmap Visibility
I also hear the ask for more clarity on what’s been shipped, what’s in progress, and what’s ahead. While we may not always share a feature-by-feature roadmap, we are committed to giving you better visibility into the themes we’re focusing on and the progress being made.
Here’s what you can expect moving forward:
-
Quarterly updates on the top themes we’re hearing.
-
More updates once features are in flight – for example, during alpha or beta testing – so you can see what’s actively moving forward.
-
And soon, I’m excited to share that we’re finishing up work on a brand-new /release-notes page, as Josh mentioned in his forum post earlier this week
. This changelog will highlight everything from bug fixes to feature improvements on a bi-weekly basis, giving you a much more frequent cadence of product updates – even beyond requests in the Ideaboard.
Together, these changes should make it easier to see the past, present, and future direction of the product, and how your feedback shapes it!
On Mobile Requests
Thanks for the suggestion about a mobile-only section. With the new Product area field, you can now tag your submission under Mobile so we can group and track those requests more clearly!
On Bugs
A couple of you flagged unexpected behavior when trying to comment on certain ideas — thanks for calling this out. We’ve identified what’s causing it and have a fix in progress. We’re working as quickly as possible to get this resolved.
On Confusing UX
Thanks for pointing out that the blue checkmark can be confusing. Right now it means you’ve upvoted an idea, but it’s easy to mistake it for a “shipped” badge. We’ll take a closer look at how we represent statuses and interactions on the board to make things clearer.
On Old Ideas & Filtering
Good point about the cluttering of the Ideaboard. We don’t want to lose the history and context those posts provide, but we do want it to be easier to surface what’s most relevant today. Right now, you can already sort by date and upvote count, and we’ll keep improving ways to make submissions easier to find without losing track of the valuable discussions that have already happened.
On Existing vs. New Submissions
Existing ideas won’t automatically be updated with the new fields (like frequency and theme), but we’re adding this additional context to high-impact requests internally. In the meantime, you’re always welcome to re-submit an existing request with the added details if you’d like.
Wrapping Up
Thank you again to everyone who’s taken the time to share feedback and participate in this thread. Even if we can’t respond or act on all feedback immediately, your input genuinely helps shape both what we build and how we communicate.
